This piece was built out of a work for 5 keyboards, entitled “The Rest You Need”. These synthesizer sounds were shared with each member of the group and they were asked to perform a one-take improvised solo to resonate with the vibe/key/idea of the piece. These solos were tweaked, edited, and re-arranged to create this finished recording. The overall ambient, ASMR-type trumpet sound, and shimmering spectral ukulele ebb and flow around the soloistic close-mic bass guitar and bouncing synthesizer.
