This piece is a Filipino American woman's reflection of the murder of eight massage parlor workers in Georgia, six of which being AAPI sisters, as well as Juanito Falcon, a 74y/o Filipino Lolo (grandfather) in Phoenix. These deaths reflect the sexualization, fetishization, and increased racism during the Covid-19 pandemic seen across the United States. Asian Americans were targeted in 3,800 reported hate crimes in 2020.

Musically, the layered female voice is meant to reflect the AAPI woman's experience. Ingat and Mahal kita, are Tagalog for 'take care' and 'I love you', words communally given between ates, titas, nanays, lolas during this time. This feeling contrasting with the wordless screams and tears that are felt alone and internalized. The train paints a cityscape capturing time and place, while serving as a personal reminder that life continues in community and in solitude simultaneously with unspoken shared pains and experiences that connect us to our kapwa.
