"Found Perhaps Only Once" is a set of live recordings by the CIBB. After spending much of the past 2 years making music remotely, exploring techniques and approaches leaning into the distance - this recording is a return to live, in-person music making. In just a few sessions, the large-ensemble "improvising muscles of listening, responding, destroying, and being silent came back quickly. All of the time we've spend apart and interacting in a distanced musical environment has built up new and exciting ways for us to interact and grow. The four pieces represent the first of a two-part release - the second being solos and chamber ensembles, created from the membership of the current iteration of the CIBB.
